MEET ABBIE
The heart behind The Speecherie
The Speecherie was created from Abbie’s belief that communication support should feel rooted in relationship, understanding, and respect for each child and family.

Abbie is a speech-language pathologist with a PhD in her field and a deep commitment to supporting young children and their families through thoughtful, individualized care. She believes communication is closely tied to connection, confidence, and a child’s sense of participation in everyday life.
Her professional background includes work at the Institute of Speech and Hearing, where she supported children and families with a range of speech, language, and communication needs. Through that experience, she developed a strong interest in early communication, family partnership, and care that feels both responsive and meaningful in daily life.
In addition to her clinical work, Abbie has served in leadership and advisory roles within the broader speech and hearing community, reflecting her ongoing care for the field and the families it serves. Her approach is grounded in respect for each child’s strengths, communication style, and individual path of growth.
Through The Speecherie, Abbie hopes to create a welcoming space where children feel supported, families feel understood, and communication growth is nurtured with warmth, clarity, and connection.
