CARE PRINCIPLES
Our Approach
The Speecherie’s approach is grounded in connection, responsiveness, and support that honors each child’s individuality.

1

Equitable & Accessible
High-quality care should be available to all families, regardless of resources or barriers.
In-person services may be offered in the clinic, in the community, or in the home, and telepractice services are also available when appropriate.
The goal is to provide flexible, accessible support that meets families where they are.

2

Neuro-affirming
Neurodiversity should be celebrated, not simply tolerated.
Care is designed to follow the child’s lead and honor their individual communication style, strengths, interests, and way of engaging with the world.

The goal is to foster connection, trust, and growth in ways that feel respectful, responsive, and affirming rather than focused only on compliance.
3

Culturally Responsive
Families are the experts on their child, their home language, and the cultural context that shapes everyday communication.
Support is designed to be culturally responsive and evidence-based, with care that respects family knowledge, language, and lived experience.
The goal is to build meaningful speech and language growth without asking families to set those things aside.
NEXT STEPS
How to Start
The process is designed to feel clear, supportive, and easy to navigate from the start.
1. Submit an Inquiry
Reach out through the contact form with a few details about your child, your concerns, and the kind of support you’re looking for.
2. Initial Follow-Up
Abbie reviews your inquiry and follows up to learn more, answer questions, and help determine whether the service is a good fit.
3. Plan the Next Step
If it feels like a fit, the next step may be consultation, evaluation, or treatment, depending on your child’s needs and goals.
